People at school think I like someone even though I repeatedly tell them I do not!! What do I do?

This one guy sat next to me in math class and he always messes with me, so everybody thinks I like him now. I know he doesn't like me because he told someone else that I need to back off, but nobody seems to get that I absolutely positively do NOT like him! It's starting to really get on my nerves, especially since one of my best friends doesn't even seem to believe me. I just want them to all stop, whether they still think of it as a joke or not. tell them to back off.. if you don't like this person then thats that they do not need to keep on an on about it if it's not true.. i can see how you are getting nerves but don't let them get to you.. you know whats true and not true about urself.. whatever anyone else says ignore it.. and if its your friend too that doesn't believe you, then they aren't very faithful.. trust yourself and stay true.. good luckPeople at school think I like someone even though I repeatedly tell them I do not!! Ignore them and ask your teacher if you can sit somewhere else.
The best thing you can do is ignore it. The more you fight it and get defensive, the more it'll look like you like the guy or you care what these people are saying. Just ignore it and you'll be the bigger person. The rumors will soon stop once you stop adding fuel to the fire.

Just ignore them. Sometimes kids have nothing better to do than make-up things. Believe me as you grow older these things do not change. People cannot seem to accept that women can be ';just friends'; with a guy. As for your best friend she needs to be there for you not help stir the pot. Sit and have a chat with her about your dilemna and tell her she is not helping the matter.
