How could someone else have same email address?

I created a second yahoo account last year. I hardly ever use it and don't get any strange emails but when I tried to set up an account with MySpace it said it was already in use! When I searched the addy there I seen it as someone else's on MySpace! Help !! plz ..this is freaky.. p.s. Its even someone that was famous in a rock band of the sixites..(at least they say they are lol) and their profile is marked private.How could someone else have same email address?
They are just using your e-mail address, I knew a lot of people doing this. They do not want to be found on myspace by their real address, so they create an account, and then indicate some address as theirs, and go on logging in and out, and checking everything on-line. I knew people who picked up sales@today.usa.com, or something like this, from spam mail.How could someone else have same email address?
They're using your e-mail. You can stop it by shutting down the account or deleting your Yahoo e-mail and make up a new one.

It's not that the person has the same email address as you. They are just using it. Usually, people just use someone else's email address just so that they don't get any junk mail or anything. Don't worry. Nobody has the same email address as you.
